Uses | Features

Q-SYS Presenter Tracking can be enabled and disabled directly from a Zoom Rooms controller in Q-SYS installations that utilize VisionSuite Legacy.

Compatible Products

  • Q-SYS PTZ NC-Series cameras.
  • Q-SYS Core and VSA-100 running Q-SYS Version 10.2 or higher.
  • Seervision Plugin.
  • Zoom Rooms on Windows or Mac OS.

Setup | Installation

This guide is intended to be followed once Q-SYS Presenter Tracking (Visionsuite Legacy) is programmed and ready for normal use with Room 1 Configuration left blank, and Room 2 Configuration configured for presenter tracking. When commissioning your Seervision plugin, for ease of programming the tracking camera to be enabled or disabled from a Zoom Rooms controller it is recommended to first leave the Room Configuration for Room 1 completely blank, then add a Room 2 Configuration which will hold all configuration settings for the Tracking and/or Conductor cameras.

Deployment

  1. Select the Q-SYS Core in the Inventory pane (or whichever Q-SYS bridging device you will be using to bridge the camera output to the Zoom Room computer).
  2. In the Properties pane, click the drop-down for USB Video bridge.
  3. Select Enable.
  4. Select the drop-down next to UCC Compatibility.
  5. Select Zoom.
  6. Select the drop-down next to USB Video Bridge.
  7. Click Enabled.
  8. From the Core's inventory item, drag the USB Video bridge component into the design.
  9. Click on the Video Bridge component once.
  10. Look under the Control Pins section in the right-hand Properties pane.
  11. Select the arrow to expand “Status”.
  12. Click the check box for Presenter Focus.
    1. You will now see the Presenter Focus Enable control pin exposed at the bottom of the video bridge component.
  13. Click on the Seervision component once.
  14. In the Control Pins section on the right pane, expand the Setup section
  15. Check the box for Room Configuration Number.
  16. Bring a Selector component into the Schematic from the Components section in the right pane.
  17. Expose the Control Pins for Selector 1 and Selector 2.
  18. Pull a Control Function component into the schematic.
  19. Change it's Function to a Logic NOT.
  20. With all of the necessary control pins are exposed, please refer to the images below for the recommended wiring order.

  1. Change the output values to 1 and 2 respectively for Selections 1 and 2.

    Note

This guide assumes that Room Configuration 1 is blank (thus Presenter Tracking will be disabled when this Room is live), and Room Configuration 2 holds the working configuration.

With this setup, when Presenter Focus is selected on the Zoom Rooms controller, Presenter Tracking will enable via Room 2 Configuration.
