Procedure

Unlike other Q-SYS cameras, the NC-Pro15x does not update firmware automatically upon design deployment. Use the following steps for updating NC-PRo15x camera firmware:

1. Create a new design.
2. Add an NC-Pro15x camera component to the design.
   1. Ensure the component property is named for your camera.
3. Save to Core and Run.
4. Open the NC-Pro15x component control panel.

5. Click the Status tab.

6. Check the Firmware section. If new firmware is available, the Needs Upgrade LED will be lit. If lit, proceed to the next step.

   Caution

   Do not unplug the camera once the update process is started. You must wait for the update to complete before attempting further actions. This process can take up to 10 minutes. There will be occasional status update to show the update progress.

    

6. Click Program Firmware to start upgrade. The following statuses will display through the process:

• Once clicked, there will be a short pause as the system prepares. The camera will also initialize and show a status of missing

• Firmware upgrade begins. (Successfully communicating with camera)

• Firmware uploading.

• Installing new firmware after performing integrity checks.

• Successfully applied firmware. Rebooting back into camera mode.

7. Once reboot is complete, the camera will show OK status and is ready for use.
