Procedure

Use the following methods for creating a PDF copy of a UCI:

Method 1

Note

This method required a Core running the design to properly display any statuses, players, and dialers in the UCI.

 
  1. Save and Run your design file to the Core.
  2. Open Core Manager with your web browser and navigate to System Management > User Control Interfaces.
  3. In the upper-right corner of the UCI page, click “Open UCI in New Window”.
  4. Right-click outside the UCI area of the browser window and select Print from the pop-up menu (or press Ctrl + P) to open the print dialogue box.
  5. Change the print destination to any installed PDF printing driver and follow the prompts on the screen to save the file.
 
 

Method 2

  1. Open the design file in Q-SYS Designer Software.
  2. Go to the desired UCI design tab.
  3. Emulate the design.
  4. Open Windows Snipping Tool (or other screen grabber as available).
  5. User the Snipping Tool to take screenshots of the desired UCIs.
  6. Print to PDF, or Save as an image to print later in the Snipping Tool menu.

Note

Functions such as players, softphone dialers, and video previews will not display properly using this method as a Core is needed for full functionality. This will allow the basic layout/design to be captured for printing purposes.
