How To | Painting AcousticDesign and AcousticCoverage Series ceiling mount speakers

Learn how to properly paint ceiling mount speakers in your AcousticDesign and AcousticCoverage Series.

Procedure


Use the following steps for painting AcousticDesign and AcousticCoverage Series ceiling mount speakers:

Note

The grille and speaker assembly should be painted separately.

 

Grille

  1. Remove grille from speaker.
  2. Carefully remove clothe cover from the back of the grille.
    1. It may be necessary to purchase a replacement cloth from the QSC Spare Parts site.
  3. Paint the grille and let dry.
  4. Once dry, use 3M spray glue to reattach cloth to the grille.
  5. Allow to dry before reassembling with speaker.
 
 

Speaker Assembly

  1. After removing grille, cover speaker cone components and vent to prevent damage.
  2. Carefully paint speaker.
    1. Be sure to use thin paint coat.
  3. Allow to dry.
  4. Remove protective coverings.
  5. Reattach grille.

Note

The AcousticCoverage grilles have a noticeably tight fit. Excessive paint may not allow the grille to be reattached properly. The AcousticDesign fittings have slightly more leeway.
