Procedure

It is possible to save a configuration from an MP-M80 and import that saved configuration on the MP-M40. You can use either a USB drive or a PC to transfer the configuration between mixers.

Expected Behavior

  • The Mic/Line inputs 1-4 on the MP-M80 will line up with the Mic/Line Inputs 1-4 of the MP-M40. The remaining Mic/Line inputs of the MP-M80 will be ignored by the MP-M40.
  • The Summed-Mono RCA inputs 9-12 on the MP-M80 will then line up with the Summed-Mono RCA inputs 5-8 on the MP-M40. The remaining Summed-Mono Inputs on the MP-M80 will be ignored by the MP-M40.
  • The Output Zones 1-4 on the MP-M80 will line up with the Output Zones 1-4 on the MP-M40. The remaining Output Zones 5-8 of the MP-M80 will be ignored by the MP-M40.
  • All DSP processing shall be saved and applied to their respective input and output channels.

Saving the Configuration on the MP-M80

  1. Establish a network connection to the MP-M80.
  2. With MP Install, navigate to MENU > CONFIGURATIONS.
  3. Save the last configuration on the MP-M80 that is to be transferred over to the MP-M40 to the MP-M Internal Storage location.
  4. Copy the configuration either to a USB drive or to the MP Install App Storage location.
    • If using a USB drive, insert the USB drive (formatted for FAT32) into either USB port on the MP-M and then copy the configuration from the Internal Storage location to the USB drive.
    • If using a PC, copy the configuration from the Internal Storage to the App Storage. The default directory for the App Storage is C:/Users/<user name>/Document/QSC.
