Procedure

If the unBT2A cannot be contacted in unIFY, check Windows Device Manger for the unBT2A listed under "Other devices". This indicates the unBT2A did not correctly pick up the required drivers and these will have to be assigned manually. Use the following steps to correct the issue:

  1. Right-click on the device and select “Update Drivers”.
  2. Select the "Browse my computer" option.
  3. Click the browse button.
  4. Navigate to the folder unIFY is installed in (the default is c:\Program Files (x86)\Attero Tech\unIFY Control Panel).
  5. Select the "Drivers" folder.
  6. Click "Ok".
  7. Click “Next”.
  8. Follow the remaining instructions.

If the drivers install correctly, the unBT2A will then be listed as "unBT2A Virtual COM Port" under the "Ports (COM & LPT)" section and when unIFY is run, it should recognize the unBT2A com port and be able to communicate with the device (Note: the PC sometimes may require a reboot for this to happen).

Once the BT2A drivers are correctly installed, restart unIFY and try again.
