Procedure

Adding Audio files to Message Directory

1. Connect live with the Core.
2. Open Q-SYS Administrator. 
3. Click on "Audio Tab". 
4. Click on "Message" folder.
5. Click on + sign to open a navigation window.
6. Locate audio file and open. 

Creating a "Play Message" Command

1. Connect live with the Core OR Emulate Design.
2. Open Q-SYS Administrator.
3. Click on Command.
4. Click on the + button and select “Play Message Command”.
   1. Settings window will open. 
   2. Edit Name / Code # / Priority Level / and select the Audio File that will need to be played. 
   3. Select which Zones you need the message to be heard by adding a check mark next to each zone. 
   4. Click "OK" to close the Play Message Command Settings Window. 
5. Click "Update" to save setting to Q-SYS Administrator. 

Scheduling a "Play Message" Command

1. Click the Command Schedule tab. 
2. Double-Click on which day you would like the message to be played.
3. Title the Event.
4. Select the Command - in this case select the Play Message Command that was just created. 
   1. Decide how often you want it to occur and if you need it to loop.
   2. Click "OK" to close out the Edit Window.
5. Click "Update" to save settings to Q-SYS Administrator.
6. Make sure Core Time and Date are set to local time and time zone.
