Affected Products

Hardware Model/Series
Microsoft Teams Rooms Compute
Software
Q-SYS Designer 9.0.0 or Higher

Problem | Symptoms

MTR component status shows "Fault - MTR not connected"

Causes | Verification

This status message appears if the Microsoft Teams Room compute is not powered on, isn't connected to the network, or the network is blocking port 2112. The communications are TCP based.

Solution | Workaround

  • Ensure that the Microsoft Teams Room compute is powered on, connected to the network, and has the IP address you specified.
  • Configure Windows Firewall on the Teams Room compute to allow the spe_uci.exe application through the firewall.
  • Contact your IT administrator to allow network traffic on port 2112, which is the port that the Q-SYS Core processor uses to communicate with the Q-SYS Control for MTR application running on the Microsoft Teams Room compute.
  • If the site uses a proxy service, ensure that the proxy service is configured to allow proxy bypass.
