Problem | Symptoms
A CX-Q Series amplifier is outputting audio when the amp channels are muted an is not outputting audio when the channels are unmuted.
Causes | Verification
This occurs when the speaker wiring connections to the amp output pins don't match the amplifier Channel Configuration property in Q-SYS Designer.
Solution
- In Q-Sys Designer Software, set the design to Disconnect mode.
- Select the Amp Output component in schematic and check the Channel Configuration property.
- On the back panel of the amplifier, inspect at the wiring chart next to the amp's output pins.
- Find pinout that matches the Channel Configuration property from the Design.
- Connect the speaker wires to the corresponding amp output pins listed on the wiring chart.
- In Designer, go to the File Menu and select Save to Core and Run.
- Test the amp channel mutes again.
