Learn about the known issues associated with RoomSuite version 1.1.0.
Room configuration can't be saved without an NM-T1 present in the design
Issue: In RMS 1.1.0, an incorrect minimum requirement has been set which doesn’t allow room configurations to be saved unless an NM-T1 is in the design, even when the minimum requirement of one NL Series speaker is met. When the NM-T1 is removed, the message "Minimum Peripheral Requirements Not Met – Please connect additional Microphones" appears and the Save button is disabled.
Workaround: Upgrade to RMS 1.1.1
Earliest Versions: RMS 1.1.0
Version Fixed: RMS 1.1.1
Camera remains in privacy mode and call sync fails after USB or room reset
Issue: After performing a USB Reset or Room Reset and starting a Zoom or Microsoft Teams call, the connected camera may remain in privacy mode and break Call Sync functionality. While audio and video streams may continue to function, the camera fails to exit privacy mode when the meeting starts.
Workaround: End the call, perform a USB Reset or Room Reset twice, and then rejoin the call.
Alternatively, the camera can still be manually taken out of privacy mode from the second page experience via Room Controls.
Note: After performing the double reset, the camera may take longer than expected to exit privacy mode when rejoining the call.
Earliest Versions: RMS 1.1.0
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
Audio settings page incorrectly reports "Unsaved changes" after a system reboot
Issue: In RoomSuite manager software, navigating to the Audio Settings page displays an "Unsaved changes" message following a system reboot, even when no configuration changes have been made.
Workaround: Load any snapshot (Default, User, or Room Acoustic Optimizer) to clear the "Unsaved changes" indicator until the next reboot.
Earliest Versions: RMS 1.1.0
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
RMP-100 may become unresponsive when exposed to multicast traffic on the network
Issue: The RMP-100 Room Processor may enter a hung state when multicast traffic (such as Mediacast streams from NV-32 encoders/decoders) is present on the same network. When connected to a network with multicast traffic, the RMP-100 may experience issues including frozen audio or video and/or connection issues with Room Manager software, Reflect, and paired Q-SYS peripherals.
Workaround: This issue is under investigation. Placing the RMP-100 on a dedicated VLAN and keeping media streams on their own separate VLAN(s) may help reduce instances of this issue. See this article for further suggestions: Tip | Best Practices for RoomSuite Modular System Network Settings
Earliest Reported Version: RMS 1.0.4
Version Fixed: This will be fixed in a future release.
Peripheral ID mode is not supported when Room Manager is in Secure Mode
Issue: In RoomSuite manager software, when Secure Mode is enabled with device passwords set, ID mode is not supported for peripheral devices. While the ID toggle on the device card in the web interface may appear clickable for some peripherals, unauthenticated communication between the Core and secured peripherals fails, preventing ID mode from activating.
Workaround: Use the physical ID button directly on the peripheral hardware, or manage device identification directly through Q-SYS Peripheral Manager.
Earliest Versions: RMS 1.1.0
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
Room Manager: Authentication error remains after removing an untrusted peripheral
Issue: When an untrusted peripheral causes an authentication error, Room Manager may continue to show the error after the peripheral is removed instead of showing “Not Present.”
Workaround: Reset the device configuration on the Devices page, then reconfigure the system devices.
Earliest Versions: RMS 1.1.0
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
RMP-100: Audio transitions may take up to 10 seconds on Roku when Auto-adjust display refresh rate is enabled
Issue: When a Roku Ultra 4K is connected to RMP-100 HDMI 1, enabling Auto-adjust display refresh rate causes slow audio and video transitions during playback. When switching content, a black screen appears for approximately 4 seconds, followed by an additional 6-second delay before audio starts. Normal transition time should be no more than 2 seconds.
Workaround: Disable Auto-adjust display refresh rate by pressing Home and navigating to: Settings > System > Advanced System Settings > Advanced Display Settings.
Earliest Versions: RMS 1.1.0
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
RoomSuite Modular System 1.1.0 displays "Version mismatch" when used with Q-SYS Connect 10.4.1 or later
Issue: When using RoomSuite Modular System 1.1.0 with Q-SYS Connect 10.4.1 (or later), the Room Manager software displays a "Version mismatch" compromised state. However, the system is fully functional and the two versions are compatible. For further detailed information please see FAQ: “Version mismatch” message in RoomSuite Modular System.
Workaround: None. The warning can be safely ignored.
Earliest Versions: RMS 1.1.0
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
Peripheral devices with older firmware fail to pair with RMS in secure mode
Issue: Q-SYS peripherals running firmware released before secure mode was implemented (e.g., 9.10) cannot pair with an RMS system that has secure mode enabled. The device returns an authentication error and appears as faulted in the device tab.
Workaround: Disable secure mode on the RMS system, pair the device and allow its firmware to update, then re-enable secure mode.
Earliest Reported Version: RMS 1.0.2
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
Secure Mode in RMS hides MAC and IP address in device details card
Issue: When Secure Mode is enabled in RMS, the device details card on the Devices tab does not display the MAC address or IP address for peripherals. Clicking on a previously attached device shows a communication error fault (expected in Secure Mode), but the details card is missing key network information needed for configuration.
Workaround: Workflow for enabling secure mode and keeping details card info:
- Open the RoomSuite manager software and navigate to Devices page.
- Get IPs for all peripherals from their cards.
- Navigate to QPM on each Peripheral using IP and Set Peripheral Password.
- Set password on RMP-100.
- Enable Secure Mode on RMP-100.
Earliest Reported Version: RMS 1.0.2
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
UCI Display On/Off buttons for Ethernet & Serial connected displays do not work
Issue: In RoomSuite Modular Systems using UCIs, the Display Power On/Off buttons only function correctly with CEC‑connected displays. For displays connected via Ethernet or Serial, the UCI Display Power On/Off controls are non-functional even when those displays are properly configured in an RMS system. Toggling the UCI Display Power On/Off buttons has no effect on Ethernet or Serial displays, with no error or indication shown to the user.
Workaround: No known workaround at this time.
Earliest Reported Version: 1.0.2
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
Unable to switch from Auto-Framing to other AI camera modes when Outline Faces is enabled
Issue: With NC-90-G2, on enabling Outline faces toggle, user is unable to switch from Auto-Framing to Active speaker framing or other AI camera modes. This issue is present in Q-SYS Designer and manifests in RoomSuite Modular System as a result.
Workaround: Outline Faces must be manually de-selected first before switching to another AI mode.
Earliest Reported Version: 1.0.2
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
Excessively loud audio levels when Room System Optimization is run with out mic connected
Issue: If you run Room System Optimization without a mic connected on the NM-T1-1 slot, the audio optimization breaks. Measurements come back with nonsense values and the voice gets really loud. Room Noise is reported very low - 10db. Room Reverb is reported as 10s. Pink Noise is very quiet. “Optimizing” voiceover get VERY loud.
Workaround: To avoid, users should always ensure all paired microphones are connected before performing Room System Optimization.
Earliest Reported Version: 1.0.2
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
Room System Optimization status and reported results are lost after reboot
Issue: If the system is rebooted after the Room System Optimization (RSO) component is run, the results shown in the UI are misleading and show that the RSO status and reported results are lost and it appears the RSO was not run, even though the RSO values do persist.
Workaround: No known workaround.
Earliest Reported Version: 1.0.2
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
Audio from Nvidia GPU Laptops not working through HDMI-In
Issue: When an Nvidia GPU Windows laptop is presenting with RoomSuite Modular System using a QIO-VEN4 HDMI In connection, the audio is not playing out through loudspeakers as should be expected.
Workaround: No known workaround.
Earliest Reported Version: 1.0.2
Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.
