Updated at May 26th, 2023

Procedure

There are two ways you can verify the IRC-28C is receiving closed captions. Either through the Qeb UI or by watching the Log Stream.

Qeb UI

  1. Get to the Qeb UI of the device by entering it's IP address into your web browser.
    1. If you do not know the IP address, download the  Ethernet Discoverer Utility.
  2. Click the Streaming Log link in the WEB UI to observe realtime caption data coming in from the server.

Log Stream

You can watch the log stream from the IRC-28C by telnetting to the IRC-28C on port 10001

Example

Assume the following is accurate in our example:

  • The IRC-28C IP address is 192.168.1.157
  • The telnet port is 10001

Using a DOS prompt, we would type in this command: telnet 192.168.1.157 10001 which can then be used to debug an installation.
