How To | Set up your MP-M User Profile for Mobile Remote Control
Learn how to create an MP-M user profile to use for remotely controlling your mobile device.
Procedure
Below are steps to take for setting up remote control access of the MP-M using MP Manage on a mobile device. The setup process will require using MP Install (PC / Tablet) and MP Manage (Mobile Device) software.
MP Install (Setting up a Profile)
- Navigate to Menu > Security
- Verify and/or Change Password for MP Manage. This is for access to the “Manager” profile ONLY. (Default = Access)
- Navigate to Menu > Smartphone Access Profiles.
- Select User Profile from left column.
- Assign Zones and Access Control functions to the specific user profiles and click SAVE.
MP Manage (Assigning a Profile to a mobile device)
- Make sure IOS / Android mobile device is on the same network as the MP-M.
- Launch MP Manage
- Connect to Mixer. This can occur automatically if the device has connected to the mixer before.
- Navigate MP Manage > Password
- Enter MP Manage “Manager” Password
- Navigate Security Mobile Access
- Select the Mobile Device from the right column so it is illuminated.
- Select the desired Profile from the left column to assign to the mobile device. Only one profile can be assigned to a mobile device.
- Tap “Save Access”
- Close the MP Manage App
MP Manage (Using a Profile)
- Make sure IOS / Android mobile device is on the same network as MP-M that is intended to be controlled.
- Launch MP Manage App.
- No Password is required to view / use the Profile that is assigned to that mobile device.
- Select a control function from the menu.
Note
Only the assigned Zones and Control functions will populate as selectable buttons. Non-selectable buttons will be grayed out.
If ALL buttons except for "Password Manager Access" are grayed out, Control functions still need to be added to the User Profile assigned to that mobile device.
Password is only required for gaining access to the “Manager” profile on that device.
MP Manage (Changing an assigned Profile)
- Make sure IOS / Android mobile device is on the same network as MP-M that is intended to be controlled.
- Launch MP Manage
- Connect to Mixer. This can occur automatically if the device has connected to the mixer before.
- Navigate MP Manage > Password
- Enter MP Manage “Manager” Password
- Navigate to Security Mobile Access
- Select the Mobile Device from the right column.
- Select the NEW / DIFFERENT Profile from the left column to be assigned to the mobile device. Only one profile can be assigned to a mobile device.
- Tap "Save Access"
- Close the MP Manage App
MP Manage (Removing a Mobile Device)
- Make sure IOS / Android mobile device is on the same network as MP-M that is intended to be controlled.
- Launch the MP Manage App
- Connect to Mixer. This can occur automatically if the device has connected to the mixer before.
- Navigate MP Manage > Password
- Enter MP Manage Password
- Navigate Security Mobile Access
- Select the Mobile Device from the right column.
- Tap "Remove Device"
- Close MP Manage App
- Delete MP Manage App if desired.
Troubleshooting

MP Manage App states it is OFFLINE
- Check to make sure the mobile device is on the same network as the MP Mixer.

Password Button is the only button that is selectable when launching the MP Manage App:
- Controls may not have been saved to the User Profile in MP Install
- Mobile device is only setup for the “Manager” profile. Enter the “Manager” password and change the Profile Assignment. (See “Changing assigned Profile”)

A control button is grayed out and cannot adjust the control
- The control was not assigned to the User Profile. The system Administrator will need to make that change in MP Install.
