Procedure

The Controls Link component can be vey useful when there is need to send control messages between Cores. This can be as simple as controlling a fader on a mixer, or complex UCI controls. 

Server Core Setup

  1.  Drag a  Control Link component in the design space on server Core.
  2.  On the Control Link Properties, select Server in the direction drop down menu.
  3.  In the Link Name field, type in a unique name.
 
 

Client Core Setup

  1.  Drag a Control Link component in the design space on the client Core.
  2.  On the Controls Link Properties, select Client in the direction drop down menu.
  3.  In the Link Name field, type in the same name from the server Link Name field.

    Note

    If Control Link redundancy is desired, leave the Is Network redundant to its default  setting of Yes. Otherwise, select No.

     
 
 

After initial setup on each Core, add matching controls to both components and deploy both files to test.
