How To | Removing DDM Credentials/Configuration from a Q-SYS design

Learn how to effectively remove Dante Domain Manager (DDM) credentials and configuration from your Q-SYS design in a few simple steps.

Procedure


Use the following steps for removing DDM Credentials/Configurations from a Q-SYS Design:

  1. Get a copy of the Q-SYS design file.
  2. Upload the design to a Core.
  3. Open Dante Controller to verify software Dante is not showing up in Dante Controller or DDM.
  4. Disconnect the Core from the design.
  5. Run the design in Emulation Mode.
  6. Open a Windows Explorer folder.
  7. Navigate to C:\Users\qsc\AppData\Local\Temp\QSys Temp Files

    Note

    It will be necessary to set the folder view options to show hidden items.

     
  8. Open the most recent hash folder (example: C:\Users\john.phim\AppData\Local\Temp\QSys Temp Files\638410852655391476).
  9. Open the Settings folder.
  10. Delete the ddm.conf, device_data, UUID, and ptp.conf files.
  11. Save the design while still in emulation mode.
  12. Disconnect from Emulation Mode.
  13. Save to Core and Run.
  14. Open Dante Controller to verify that the software Dante components are showing up now.
