Propagate setting to Google Meet hardware device

  1. If the Google Meet hardware device you want to use is not already in the same OU above, then move it there by going to https://admin.google.com/ac/meet/devices and finding your device on the table, selecting it’s checkbox, and then clicking the “Change organizational unit” button. Please note that this will also change any other applied/inherited settings that apply at the OU level.
  2. Once you move the Google Meet hardware device, reboot it to quickly apply the new certificate authority.

Testing private certificate authority cert

Now that the private certificate authority cert has been propagated to the Google Meet Hardware device, it should now be testable. Specifically, it can be tested by following the guide to Integrate third-party control systems on Google Meet hardware, and now instead of any steps that mention generating a certificate signed by a publicly trusted certificate authority, it can now be signed by a private certificate authority, as long as the private certificate authority was set up as detailed above.
