The need for AEC in USB AV Bridging depends on the intended use case for the USB connection.

  • If the system is used only for playback of audio and video in the presentation space with no microphones in use, then AEC is not needed.
  • If two-way communication via conferencing software or phone systems will be used along with installed microphones, AEC should be used in the system to prevent audio problems.
