Troubleshooting | AES67 Rx broken in QDS 9.7 with 3rd party Dante enabled devices

Learn how to troubleshoot AES67 Rx broken in QDS 9.7 when using Dante-enabled devices.

Updated at June 6th, 2024

Affected Products

Hardware Model/Series 3rd party Dante AES67 enabled devices
Software Q-SYS Designer 9.7

Problem

Attempting to receive AES67 audio from a 3rd party Dante device results in a “Compromised - Packet Missing” error and no audio is received. The AES67 Receiver > Details tab also shows a DSCP value of 0 with increasing “missing” counts.

Causes

This is a software bug in Q-SYS Designer 9.7.

Solution | Workaround

  • There is currently no workaround in Q-SYS 9.7. This will be fixed in an upcoming release.
  • Backing the system down to a previous build of Q-SYS will otherwise resolve the issue.

Note

AES67 audio from other Q-SYS Core processors is unaffected.
