FAQ | What are the benefits and most common applications of the four LAN ports on the back of the Core 24f?
Discover the advantages and typical of uses for the four LAN ports on the Core 24f.
Answer
The four network ports offer flexibility in network topology design, allowing you to connect a Core to isolated networks without requiring those networks to converge. The ports have independent NICs (they are not switch ports), and they do not provide or accept PoE.
You can segregate network traffic using Core Manager, where “AUX A” and “AUX B” represent LAN C and LAN D, respectively. Using the checkboxes on this page, you can control which traffic is sent to which ports.
Note
Only LAN A and LAN B support real-time audio traffic like QLAN and Dante; LAN C and LAN D cannot carry network audio.
