FAQ | How do I increase the Multi-Track Playback channel limit on my Core that is running Q-SYS software version 10.0 or higher?
Discover how to expand the Multi-Track Playback channel limit on your Core with Q-SYS software version 10.0+ for enhanced audio capabilities.
Answer
For Cores running 10.0 or higher, you can purchase as many 32-channel playback licenses (SLMTP-32) as you need to reach the desired multi-track playback channel count. Cores running Q-SYS software version 10.0 or higher allow these licenses to be “stacked”, meaning that you can install multiple SLMTP-32 licenses on the same Core and their channel counts will add together.
Note
- Each Core has a different maximum Multi-Track Playback channel count, and you can’t install stackable licenses that would exceed the Core’s maximum playback capacity.
- Some Cores still require a media drive upgrade to support higher multi-track playback channel counts (Core Nano, Core 8 Flex, Core 110f, Core 510i). Check the specs of your Core to be sure.
