Core 24f in I/O Core 24f Mode currently incurs additional 1.75 mS of latency

Issue: Using a Core 24f in I/O-Core 24f mode currently incurs an additional 1.75 mS of latency, round trip.

Workaround: This issue is under investigation to be resolved in the next maintenance release.

Earliest Reported Version: 10.0.0.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

QIO-FLEX4A Serial Port may lose reservation under high serial traffic

Issue: Under high-frequency serial traffic (e.g., tick rate ≤ 0.1s), the QIO-FLEX4A peripheral intermittently loses its reservation and reports an error, “Missing - In use by another design.”

Workaround: Avoid using extremely low tick rates (e.g., 0s or 0.1s). Increasing the tick rate to 1 second or higher appears to prevent the issue, even with large payloads. Customers should stress-test serial communication before updating to 10.0.

Earliest Reported Version: 10.0.0. This does not affect the LTS (9.4.x) branch.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

Softphone not responding to 407 requests after a BYE message

Issue: Symptoms experienced will show that when a call is made from the Core and a hangup is made from the Core, the call will not disconnect. If the call is disconnected from the far end then it will disconnect properly. Sending a BYE message results in the system sending a 407 request, which the Softphone does not respond to.

Workaround: Hanging up from the Softphone or far end caller works, but not from the Core.

Earliest Reported Version: 9.9.0. This does not affect the LTS (9.4.x) branch.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

Amplifiers

PL-DC8 Biamp Mode missing High-Pass Filter at 125Hz

Issue: When the PL-DC8 is set to biamp mode with a 125Hz crossover, the high-pass filter is missing in both Default and Flat modes. This results in incomplete filtering for the high-frequency path.

Workaround: A corrected Lua file is available and ready for use. Applying the updated Lua resolves the missing filter behavior. In the meantime use the 80Hz or 100Hz crossover.

Earliest Reported Version: 9.10.1. This does not affect the LTS (9.4.x) branch.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

Video Peripherals and Components

NV-32-H

NV-32-H not receiving HDMI Audio from certain sources

Issue: When using Intel NUCs (11th gen and later) as HDMI sources, the NV-32-H fail to receive or pass through HDMI audio. Q-SYS Designer shows no signal on audio meters, and no audio is heard at the output. This occurs consistently, even though video passes through correctly. Note that this issue may impact more sources than NUCs.

Workaround: Clearing the EDID cache on the NUC using Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) and rebooting resolves the issue in some cases. However, audio fails again if EDID is set to 1080p60. Audio works at 4k60 or 4k30. Re-clearing the cache may be required after EDID changes.

Earliest Reported Version: 10.0.0. This does not affect the LTS (9.4.x) branch.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

"Output Details (Audio from Core)" missing in NV-32-H/NV-21-HU status component under Core Stream Details

Issue: The "Output Details (Audio from Core)" section is not displayed under Core Stream Details in the status component of NV-32-H Encoder/Decoder and NV-21-HU devices.

Workaround: Audio output remains functional via Lineout/display with audio pin selection, despite the missing UI details.

Earliest Reported Version: 10.0.0. This does not affect the LTS (9.4.x) branch.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

Windows UCI Viewer stops playing Mediacast Output Preview Streams

Issue: When deploying a design that includes an NV-32-H Encoder or Decoder connected to a video source and an HDMI output, the Windows UCI Viewer stops playing Mediacast Output preview streams. The video starts playing live for 3-4 seconds and then falls back to 1fps jpeg images.

Workaround: Restart the stream when it fails.

Earliest Reported Version: 10.0.0. This does not affect the LTS (9.4.x) branch.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

Does not receive 4K60 video with Intel Iris Xe Graphics

Issue: NV-32-H cannot receive valid 4k60 video with Intel Iris Xe Graphics.

Workaround: None. This will be fixed in an upcoming release.

Earliest Reported Version: 9.8.1 and 9.4.5 LTS.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

NV-21-HU

Note

Since the NV-21-HU requires QDS version 9.8.0 or higher, none of the following issues impact any of the LTS branches.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

HID Conferencing not passing off-hook state with Mac Mini with M4Pro chipset and NV-21-HU

Issue: When connecting a Mac Mini with the M4Pro chipset to an NV-21-HU HID Conferencing component, the off-hook and mute LEDs do not pass the off-hook state.

Workaround: Enable the Video Bridge on the NV-21-HU and attach it in the design to a camera. If the system doesn't have a camera, mark the camera’s “Is Required” Property to False to avoid errors.

Earliest Reported Version: 9.13.0.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

Cameras

NC series Camera Status only shows "Missing - Camera Status Missing" instead of "Authentication failure, Communication failure"

Issue: When enabling the Secure Communication feature without setting a password on any peripheral, an Authentication Failure occurs on the status of the peripheral until the password is set for Secure Communication to work. Specifically, for NC-series Cameras, enabling the Security Feature on the Core should result in the camera status indicating “Fault - Authentication failure, Communication Failure.” However, the actual result is that the camera status shows “Missing - Camera Status Missing” instead.

Workaround: Consider trust negotiation issue for camera as one of the possible causes of ‘Missing’ state: make sure camera’s certificate is on the core’s trusted list and vice versa.

Earliest Reported Version: 10.0.0. This does not affect the LTS (9.4.x) branch.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

The Mediacast preview displays video distortion when selecting specific resolutions in the display component

Issue: When clicking the Reflect Sign Out link, the “QSC ” webpage is opened and the QSD instance remains signed into Reflect.  Further clicks will only open more QSC  pages.

Workaround: With an instance of QSD 10.0.0-2505.007 actively signed into to Reflect, open a QSD 9.13 instance and click its ‘Sign Out’ link (This forces the 10.0 instance into an actual signed-out state, although the 10.0 instance still reads ‘Sign Out'). At this point, clicking the ‘Sign Out’ link in the 10.0 QSD instance will change it to ‘Sign In’

Earliest Reported Version: 10.0.0.

Version Fixed: This issue is under investigation.

A Core can unexpectedly reboot when receiving Dante traffic from a Dante Virtual Soundcard (DVS) NIC experiencing high bandwidth utilization

Issue: Core processors can unexpectedly reboot when receiving audio from DVS NICs that are also sending/receiving out large volume of traffic.  (The core will automatically recover per @Fernando Nieves Marrero )

Workaround: If possible, limit the amount of bandwidth being used by the DVS NIC while sending audio to a Core (speed tests, large files transfers to/from the core, etc)
