Answer

When using the Audio Bridge on a Q-SYS device that supports USB audio bridging, you have the option to choose between the Speakerphone (1x1), the Soundcard (2x2), or some combination of the two. However, you might be wondering what the difference is between the two.

The USB Speakerphone tells the host PC that the Core has Acoustic Echo Cancelation (AEC), so the PC should disable its built-in AEC. You must have AEC in your Q-SYS design if using the speakerphone.

None of this is applicable in Soundcard mode.
