FAQ | Can the DCIO-H mix a 7.1 or 5.1 signal into a stereo signal or vice versa?

Answer
No, you cannot explicitly program the DCIO-H to perform this operation. The selection has to be done either at the source (such as a Blu-ray player's audio settings) or by mixing after the decode in the DCIO-H.
Within Q-SYS, you can mix the center channel into the L and R channels. It is a good idea to apply some attenuation at the mixer component of around -3 dB to maintain the same SPL. Follow the same guideline to mix the surrounds. You can use a router or Snapshots to switch between formats.
