Answer
If you have multiple components of the same type (for example, three Matrix Mixers) and you give each the same name (for example, "My Mixer"), Q-SYS Designer automatically appends a number to the subsequent components. So, in this case:
My Mixer
My Mixer 1
My Mixer 2
Since all named components must have a unique identifier for control purposes, there is no way to disable this auto-numbering.
