Find out if you can use legacy communications in Core Manager

Updated at September 16th, 2024

Answer

In Core Manager, “Legacy Communications” refer to older communication protocols or configurations that were previously set up through the Network Services section. These included protocols like Telnet, SSH, and older versions of SNMP.

These have been deprecated in newer versions of Q-SYS Designer, specifically starting from version 9.10.0. Q-SYS Core Manager now uses more modern and secure communication methods. These include:

  • HTTPS: For secure web-based management and configuration.
  • Modern SNMP versions: For improved network management and monitoring capabilities.
  • API-based communications: Allowing for more flexible and secure integrations with other systems and services.
